Thank you SO much to everyone who participated in our special post-Valentine's Pornday madness! Usually I try to comment on everyone's entries, but I was so busy writing porn this time that I had no time to read any. And there are so many entries this time that it will take awhile to read them all! I can't wait!

Pornday: Real Talk

Hey folks!

I will post the wrap-up post in a bit (there's a lot of linking involved, and y'all know how squirrely DW can get about links.)

I wanted to throw out a couple of thoughts about this pornday in particular and see what people thought worked and what didn't. As much as I want to resist sounding like a corporate drone saying "Please take our survey!", I'd love some community input.

I did not create Pornday, that honor goes to my dear friend and internet wife, iesika. Pornday is supposed to be fun and lighthearted, not something to be taken too seriously. After the last Pornday, however, several people told me that having a single day fest with a hard deadline actually helped them as writers, because it helped them let go and just write. I'd love to keep fostering that mojo, though I don't know if I have the energy to do this very often. We used to have Porndays fairly frequently (hence the rule about 'no more than once a month!) but I wasn't the only one running the show in those days.

Something that often happened in the past when Pornday was declared, and happened again this round, was that several people who had JUST posted porn (that morning, the night before, etc) told me, "But I just posted some porn!" I've always been of two minds about letting people include such works. On the one hand, sure, why not? On the other, the whole point of Pornday is to encourage people to write new things they otherwise might not have written. One isn't supposed to approach Pornday with a backlog of porn to post. One's supposed to go in and write feverishly for a few hours, then throw the resulting mess up for all to jerk off to. (And yes, this time I practiced what I preached, so my entries for this round. XD)

Then again, words like "supposed to" don't belong anywhere near Pornday. Pornday's lighthearted and fun and silly and just for kicks, so why not let people throw in porn they already posted if it helps people feel included? There used to be banners and whatnot, and last time I gave away DW points to participants, but mostly there is no prize, just the satisfaction of having written. It's supposed to be (gah, there it is again) fun!

Anyway, I've thrown all my dilemmas into polls, so please let me know what you, the Pornday community members, think!

P.S. There is still room for the zamboni driver if you can get your post up before I finish the wrap up post, which will probably take me...awhile.

P.S.Traditionally we allow one last submission through if you can get it in before the wrap-up post goes up. So if you want to have the honor of being the Zamboni driver, and cleaning up everyone else's porn related messes, then go for it! XD

As the Declarer of Pornday, the Rules state that I must submit TWO entries, but after that long Tweetfic I didn't have the spoons for another long piece. So I did ~~five~~ SIX three sentence smutlets based on one-word prompts. Since they're short, I am reproducing them in their entirety here:

1. Sunlight (Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan)

He's never even considered doing it in the sunlight. It's odd because he spent so much of his early life outdoors, but modern cities keeps everything enclosed, and he adapted. His lover's mouth on him, the sun on his skin..Shen Wei thinks that this is everything he's ever wanted.

2. Ice (Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan)

Dixingren aren't used to surface winters...which is why SW takes one look at the ice on the window one day and lets ZYL convince him to come back to bed. He even lets ZYL make him come twice, whereupon ZYL declares that winter is his favorite season. SW is starting to agree.

3. Off-set (Bai Yu/Zhu Yilong RPF)

There's the public version everyone sees, polished and combed. There's the private version his friends see, comfortable and casual. Then there's the version that only he gets to see: his lover's head thrown back, eyes screwed tight, lip caught between his teeth, skin flushed red.

4. Librarian (Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan)

"You figured out my organizational system," Shen Wei says, staring at the neat shelves. "I just kept looking at it until I got it-mmph," ZYL says as Shen Wei tackles him to the floor, "I never knew this would turn you on so much-"

"Having my own live-in librarian is very sexy."

5. Restraint (Bai Yu/Zhu Yilong RPF)

When he meets BY, he can't believe how open the man is, how relaxed. It makes him jealous at first...until BY teaches him how to let go of his tightly held self-restraint. The irony is, it's only when he's physically tied up, they discover, that he can truly let himself go.

6. Calligraphy, Smoke, or Tea (Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan)

He sets his brush next to his teacup and curls in front of the fireplace with his lover. The wind is strong, driving wisps of smoke into the room, but they lie together in the warmth and whisper fantasies until they can't hold back, hands, mouths and bodies wilder than the storm.
